What's New this Term... 🌻Summer 2025🌻

We know you don’t have time to search our site for new and exciting resources, so each month we’re putting together a blog to show you the very best of what’s new across the 2Simple range.

Summer Term is always a busy one with SATs, sports day, residential trips and transition days!

New Purple Mash Tools:

Computing

The 2Simple team have been busy this summer, updating tools and creating new resources for computing:

UPDATED: Mash Club

Mash Club has also been updated, with Cody now taking a lead role! As well as the previous term's worth of eight sessions, a whole EXTRA term of sessions now available with a third term to be added soon! This means that you'll soon be able to run a Computing club year round.

Mash Club is easy for non-specialists to run too, as the sessions are designed to be self-led by the children with step-by-step activities and all the digital tools included.

English

NEW: DK Learning Texts

Every term, eight new DK Learning texts are added to Purple Mash. For Summer '25, they are:

Maths

UPDATED: Table Toons

Table Toons - the musical way to learn times tables - has had a refresh!

• Children can still choose from a variety of music styles, like rock, opera and rap, and now it’s easier for them to switch styles while listening and playing.
• Someone very special has been added in as a singer – see if you can spot who it is!
• Arrays are now shown as blobs! These can be changed for different blobs, and to show different layouts.

Table Toons is a great way of building fluency in all year groups – why not try it in your classroom today?

English & Maths

NEW: SATs Resources

Brand new printable SATs papers are now included in a Purple Mash subscription! In the new SATs Skills area, you'll find:

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting partnership with ClickView, bringing 25 of their incredible science videos to Purple Mash just in time for British Science Week! ClickView is home to vetted curriculum-aligned videos for every learning level, subject and topic - making it easy for teachers to find the perfect video in seconds. The videos, available in the Science area of Purple Mash, are easy to integrate into your lessons, and capture curiosity and enhance engagement across a range of topics, including:
