The Purple Mash Taskmasher competition gave children the chance to design their own Taskmaster style task! We had loads of brilliant, hilarious, and wonderfully weird task ideas sent in by pupils worldwide—and choosing the best ones was no easy job. Every entry showed just how creative, clever, and delightfully silly young Taskmasters can be. Thank you to everyone who took part. We enjoyed reading each funny and creative task.
The competition allowed children across the world to submit their tasks using Purple Mash. The teams at 2Simple and Taskmaster Education reviewed every entry before shortlisting and selecting a winner and three runners-up.
Taskmaster Education takes the joy and silliness of the television show and uses it to inspire children and young people. Taskmaster Clubs are now running in schools and other educational settings across the UK and worldwide, and it’s easy to get involved.
In Taskmaster Club, the young people become the contestants and the adult in charge takes on the role of the mighty Taskmaster, ably assisted by an onscreen Little Alex Horne. The tasks themselves are suitable for all ages and abilities and are brilliant for honing key skills, such as teamwork, problem-solving, oracy, reasoning and resilience. Above all, though, they’re really good fun!

Here's what James from the Taskmaster Education team had to say about picking the winning task:
Picking a winning task was particularly tricky. There were so many entries and they were completely brilliant. We were really impressed by the creativity and range of random ideas that the children had and the devious twists that some of them added were inspired. We chose Aarav's task idea because it met the brief well; we can imagine it being popular with other children who attempt the Team Tasking tasks next year; it's different to other tasks we've done before; and it sounds like a lot of fun.
