We are celebrating the work of the NHS and the dedication and hard work of all as we celebrate International Nurses Day. One of the first pioneers of Nursing was Florence Nightingale who was born on the 12th May 1820, on the 200th anniversary of her birth, the work Florence Nightingale did resonates with us now more than ever. Florence’s ideas and actions changed nursing forever.

VE day or Victory in Europe day marks the day when the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. The announcement that the war in Europe had ended came at 3pm on 8th May 1945, by Prime Minister Winston Churchill. There are several activities within Purple Mash that can be used by children to commemorate VE Day.

From April 1st - May 3rd, were celebrating National Pet Month. National Pet Month is one of our favourite awareness months as here at 2Simple, a lot of us own our own little animals! National Pet Month is all about raising awareness for pet welfare and spreading the word on responsible pet ownership.

We are excited to announce a new tool within Purple Mash 2Survey. 2Survey can be used by both pupils and teachers for creating online surveys and compiling and analyzing the results.

Each month we will be highlighting a #MashoftheMonth, this will focus on a tool or application within Purple Mash and how it can be used within the classroom to support learning across the curriculum. During the month, if you share how you have used #MashoftheMonth, you will then be entered into a draw to win a 2Simple Goody Bag!
