Promoting Reading with 2Simple

We love to celebrate books, and foster a joy of reading for pleasure in children. There are some great resources for you to use in your classrooms to promote reading from 2Simple, including eBooks, paint projects, writing projects and quizzes.

Serial Mash

Serial Mash is your online library for reading and comprehension. With a new chapter every week of term, writing activities and guided reading resources, all the hard work of planning guided reading is done for you.

The ever-growing collection of titles (currently close to 300) is designed to inspire children to develop a love of reading and become better readers.

Through the publication of bespoke weekly fiction, Serial Mash leaves every chapter on a cliff-hanger, encouraging children to keep returning to find out what happens next. Not only that, but with Serial Mash, it's easy to plan your whole term's worth of Guided Reading lessons - every chapter of each book has comprehension, grammar and writing activities which are perfect for Guided Reading.

If you’re wanting to do some research on top authors, then we’ve got just the resources for you. From Hans Christian Anderson and Charles Dickens to Julia Donaldson and Roald Dahl, we’ve got shelf-loads of well-known writers for your class to get inspired in our Authors and Poets area. You'll be able to write profiles and book reviews, as well as completing activities on the authors' books.
