Brainchild: The new book from Purple Mash Publishing

Purple Mash Publishing is delighted to be publishing Ivor Baddiel and Jonny Zucker’s sixth collaboration, Brainchild, this September. Left unfinished after Jonny’s sudden passing in 2016, With the blessing of Jonny’s family, Ivor has now completed the book which is being published to honour his memory. Throughout his life, Jonny worked tirelessly to spread the joy of reading, particularly amongst reluctant readers, often visiting schools to speak about the magic of books.

We are very proud that Brainchild is the first title to include a page supporting the Children’s Book Project, a charity that donates books to underprivileged children.

Brainchild is a fast-moving, tense and exciting rollercoaster of a story about brilliant 14-year-old twins, Carl and Isobel, who are the custodians of a huge secret. This exciting new book for 10 – 15-year-olds is a compelling new take on the ultimate battle between good and evil and the limits and ethics of medicine.
