On World Ocean Day, 8th June, people around our blue planet will be coming together to celebrate and honour our oceans. The oceans connects us all, between countries and across the world and by working together, we must protect and restore our oceans. The theme this year is Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean.

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on the 5th June and is run and organised by the United Nations day to raise awareness of our planet and the environment. This year the theme is Celebrating Biodiversity and it will be hosted in Colombia, a country that holds over 10% of the planet's biodiversity. Biodiversity is more important now than ever as more species are becoming extinct and the world around us is changing.

Ramadan is the most sacred month of the year for Muslims and celebrated during the 9th month of their calendar. Ramadan doesnt follow the western calendar and instead follows the Lunar calendar meaning the month can change each year. This year the celebration starts on Thursday, 23rd April.
