On World Ocean Day, 8th June, people around our blue planet will be coming together to celebrate and honour our ocean. The ocean connects us all, between countries and across the world and by working together, we must protect and restore our oceans. The 2024 Action Theme is 'Catalyzing Action for Our Ocean and Climate', whilst continuing to support the growing 30x30 movement, which was last year's theme (to protect at least 30% of our blue planet by 2030).

To teach your students about World Oceans Day, we have several resources on Purple Mash that you can use.

World Art Day is celebrated on 15th April, with the date being chosen to honour the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci. We have lots of fantastic resources to help celebrate art across your school on this day.

The Mash of the Month for April is Purple Chip, our app which allows students to control an external device using code created in Purple Mash's 2Code Purple Chip tool.

In the lead up to Easter, use our cracking resources to get your children egg-cited about this special time of year.

Each month we highlight a #MashoftheMonth, focusing on a tool or application within Purple Mash and how it can be used within the classroom to support learning across the curriculum. During the month, if you share how you have used #MashoftheMonth, you will then be entered into a draw to win a 2Simple Goody Bag!

Our #MashOfTheMonth for March is a helpful application within Purple Mash – 2Challenge. Designed for teacher use, 2Challenge is a great quick-start tool for supporting learning engagement, promoting challenge, inspiring children and getting them thinking.
